East Stormwater Pond (23.2 km)
This conservation property is located next to the Lacombe Police Station and is accessible on foot. While the site is family-friendly, roadblocks at the entrance prevent on-site parking. The pond features a dock and is stocked with trout annually, making it a potential spot for anglers. Visitors can observe a variety of wildlife, including Canada Geese, Mallards, Northern Shovelers, Lesser Scaup, and Black Terns over the water, while Red-winged Blackbirds, Yellow Warblers, Song Sparrows, and Cedar Waxwings are often seen among the surrounding willows and cattails. Please note, there are no restroom facilities or garbage disposal on-site.
Access: Travel east on Highway 12, then north on Wolf Creek Drive and east on 53 Avenue. The pond is just north of the junction of 53 Avenue and 39 Street.
