Stauffer (72.0 km)

This 219-acre site, 11 km north of Bashaw, is largely grassland pasture and provides habitat for white-tailed and mule deer. At the entrance, a rock and plaque honour a 1997 wetland and conservation project completed by Ducks Unlimited Canada as part of the North American Waterfowl Management Plan. A trail along the west boundary follows a ridge and quad paths, providing views of a shallow water channel that flows toward Red Deer Lake. For more information, call or text 403-896-9687.

Access: From Bashaw, head north on Highway 21 for 4.8 km, then west on Highway 53 and north on Range Road 213 for 4.0 km. The site is on the west side of the road.
