Phyllis Lake Provincial Recreation Area (97.1 km)

Phyllis Lake Provincial Recreation Area, located 33 km south of Rocky Mountain House, is a small foothills lake ideal for canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. The area has 21 first-come, first-served campsites suitable for RVs and tents, with fire pits, picnic tables, and clean outhouses. The lake is stocked with trout, making it popular for summer and winter fishing. Wildlife such as loons, ospreys, swamp sparrows, bald eagles, and great blue herons can be seen. Parking is limited and can become overcrowded, especially on weekends.

Access: Head west from Caroline on Highway 591, turn right onto Range Road 74, and keep left to the parking area.
