Kraft Wimborne Pond (47.5 km)

The Kraft Wimborne Pond property offers a well-maintained, accessible space for birdwatchers, anglers, and families. The aerated pond is stocked annually with trout by the ACA, and surrounding paths provide easy access for fishing and wildlife observation. Visitors can rest at convenient benches or enjoy the gazebo with a picnic table and fire pit. The site is home to a variety of species, including the Great Blue Heron, Black Tern, Willet, Cedar Waxwing, and Red-winged Blackbird. The area also features a variety of plants, including wild rose, willows, and cattails. Additional amenities include toilets, garbage bins, parking, and a fishing line disposal station. The property’s boundary is marked by a wire and post fence. This site is located just outside Wimborne, making it an easy destination for locals.

Access: To reach the pond, head south on Highway 805 from Wimborne for 1.4 km. Turn right onto Township Road 334 and travel 1.7 km, then turn right onto Range Road 263. The pond is on the west side.
