Kneehill Creek (35.0 km)

This 160-acre conservation site, located 20 km southeast of Innisfail, features forests with aspen and balsam poplar trees. The east half has willow groves and marshes, providing habitat for moose. Beavers have built dams along the creek running through the property. The site also has nesting boxes for small birds like the House Wren and Tree Swallow, and you may spot species such as the Pileated Woodpecker, Red-tailed Hawk, Great Horned Owl, and Red-eyed Vireo.

Access: From Innisfail, head east on Highway 590 for 16 km. Turn right onto Range Road 270 and continue for 6.4 km. Turn left onto Township Road 35-0 and travel 0.4 km. You’ll find a road allowance on the south side. In wet conditions, the road may be impassable by vehicle, so it's best to continue on foot to the northeast corner of the property.
