Haynes, Vincent, and McPhee 2 (33.6 km)

This area features a lake divided between the Haynes and Vincent properties, with most of the land located in Vincent. The landscape includes native grasslands, aspen forests, and wetlands that support diverse wetland species. Common bird species in the area include Northern Flickers, Red-tailed Hawks, Buffleheads, and Lesser Scaups. The lake is spring-fed, providing year-round open water for wildlife. A planted spruce forest provides habitat for porcupines and thirteen-lined ground squirrels.

Access: From Ghost Pine General Store, head 4.8 km west to Range Road 260, north for 1.6 km, then east on Township Road 370 (undeveloped road) for 0.8 km to the Haynes property. The Vincent property is accessible via the undeveloped Range Road 255, heading north from Highway 42 for 1.6 km. Contact NCC for access.
