Hawthorne (34.3 km)
 
This 160-acre property features wetlands, grasslands, and an aspen forest. Its wetland areas provide important habitat for waterfowl. The property supports a range of wildlife year-round and is home to mammals such as White-tailed Deer, Moose, and Beaver. Vegetation includes Trembling Aspen, Balsam Poplar, Willows, and various shrubs and grasses, making the site a vital area for both migratory and resident birds.
 
Access: From Red Deer, take Highway 11 east for 31 km, then turn right onto Township Road 384. Drive about 1 km and park along Range Road 241 or Township Road 384.
