Hansen’s Reservoir – Lake Aeration and ACA Fish Stocking (39.4 km)

Hansen's Reservoir, located 23 km west of Sylvan Lake, covers 24 acres, with a stocked trout pond offering year-round fishing. The surrounding area features a mix of willow, aspen, spruce, and lodgepole pine trees. It attracts various bird species, including Canada Geese, Blue-winged Teal, and Mallards, along with wildlife like deer, beavers, and muskrats. A pathway partially encircles the pond, and the site offers amenities such as parking, an outhouse, garbage bins, and two floating docks for easy water access.

Access: To reach Hansen's Reservoir from Eckville, head south on Highway 766, turn right onto David Thompson Highway, then turn south again onto Highway 766. After 2.8 km, the entrance will be on the right.
