George (43.7 km)

George is a 160-acre site located about 5 km south of Delburne, primarily made up of pasture habitat used for grazing, with barbed wire fences dividing the land into sections. The property also contains small wetlands, mostly on the east side. While there are no designated pathways, tire tracks can occasionally be found, and crossing fences may present a challenge for some visitors. The site is home to a wide variety of bird species, including the Lesser Scaup, Blue-winged Teal, Sora, American Wigeon, Tree Swallow, American Goldfinch, and Yellow Warbler. In addition to birds, the site supports a variety of plants, including Trembling Aspen, Balsam Poplar, Willow, Purple Milk Vetch, and Saskatoon, as well as wildflowers like Harebell, Common Yarrow, Canada Anemone, Fireweed, and Goldenrod.

Access: Travel 4.8 km south on Highway 21 from Delburne, then turn east onto Township Road 370 and continue for 3.2 km to reach the southeast corner of George.
