Fabris (33.6 km)

Fabris is a 160-acre site east of Red Deer, featuring a mix of forest, wetlands, and some grassland clearings. The area, which lacks formal trails, is ideal for activities like saskatoon berry picking but can be difficult to navigate due to its thick undergrowth, decaying logs, and uneven terrain. The site is home to diverse wildlife, including birds like the Ovenbird and Warbling Vireo. Access is limited, requiring travel along an undeveloped road allowance, which makes the site relatively secluded.

Access: To reach the site, travel 32 km east on Highway 595 from Red Deer, then south on Range Road 242, and walk along the fence line to enter the property line or from Township Road 374, walk north on Range Road 242 (undeveloped road allowance).
