Braithwaite (11.6 km)
 
This 27-acre site is located on the eastern shore of the Red Deer River, about 7 km north of Penhold. It can be accessed by foot from the river or via a road allowance through River Country Estates. The site is for day use only, with no open fires allowed. Access is foot traffic only, and visitors must obtain permission from landowners before crossing private land to reach the site.
 
Access: Travel west of Penhold on Highway 592. In 4.2 km, veer right onto Calgary and Alberta Trail (Range Road 283A) and continue for 4.8 km.
