Boulder Lake - ACA Fish Stocking (18 km)
This 183-acre site features a fish pond, stocked annually with trout by the ACA, usually before the May long weekend. Anglers can fish from a floating dock or several raised casting platforms along the shore. Amenities include an outhouse and garbage disposal facilities. Depending on the season, visitors may spot or hear wildlife such as horned grebes, ruby-crowned kinglets, northern rough-winged swallows, and wood frogs. Plants like cattails, willows, snowberry, and wild rose are also common in the area. The property is fenced, and the Blindman River is the south boundary.
Access: From Blackfalds, travel 2.4 km west on Aspelund Road (Township Road 394). Turn left onto Range Road 275 and continue 2.5 km. Turn west into the parking lot. The property is only accessible from Aspelund Road; a private bridge on Range Road 275 is not open to the public.
