Boote (37.5 km) ☆

Boote is a 96-acre natural area located about 2 kilometers west of the Ghost Pine General Store, accessible only with permissionfrom the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC). The site lies north of Underwood and east of Bend, both neighboring conservation areas. Boote features a mix of trembling aspen, grasslands, and wetlands, extending across Highway 42 to a large wetland in the north. This area supports diverse plant and bird life, including nesting colonies of Eared Grebes and species like the Great Blue Heron and Black Tern.

Access: Head west on Highway 42 from Ghost Pine General Store, then turn right onto undeveloped Range Road 254. Part of the property exists on the south side of the highway as well, heading southeast on Township Road 364.
